Montol Festival by Golowan
Some speculate that Montol Festival began in the 4th Century. By the Victorian age it was compared to Venician Masked Balls. Now revived and thriving, this magical unworldly winter solstice festival enjoys Cornish carol singing, lantern parades, story telling and music making.
Golowan Festival is a celebration of the midsummer Feast of St John. Events take place around Penzance including traditional dances, street theatre and live music.
