Rarey Boxes by City of Lights Festival
Born from the days before cinema, Rarey Boxes brought light and movement to isolated rural villages. Now revived and hand built from wood and glass, they are literally a box of tricks evoking feelings of wonderment in all who see them. The Rarey Boxes will continue to appear at Carnivals and processions throughout Cornwall.
City of Lights is an annual carnival of withy made lanterns on a spectacular scale involving thousands of paraders, makers and spectators.
